Maybe helpful, an example of what local and recently global efforts: Our local church invests in making disciples that make disciples, loving the local community through neighboring, shoes for students without, meals for students when school is out, food pantry weekly pick-up, VBS, student retreat and camps, and investing in multiplication of His Mission and Church and communities with continued basic needs (food, water, shelter, education) around the world.
